The participatory GIS Website implements the concept of Web-GIS based collaborative decision-making to find the “best” location for building a new parkade in the Canmore downtown. It has been designed and developed by Soheil Boroushaki under supervision of Dr. Jacek Malczewski, and in collaboration with Philip Meng. The deliberation part of the Website is based on ArgooMap, which is an implementation of the argumentation map concept developed by Dr. Claus Rinner. The original ArgooMap code was developed by Carsten Kessler (University of Munster) in collaboration with Dr. Rinner.
The research team acknowledges the contribution of Gary Buxton (Planning and Engineering Department, The Town of Canmore) to the project.

The project was supported by the GEOIDE Network of the Networks of Centres of Excellence (Project: HSS-DSS-17).
